5 Guys You are Likely to Date Before You Meet "The One"
1. Your First Love
The Wonder Years
Commonly referred to as "Puppy Love" or "High School Sweethearts"... This is the first relationship typically beginning around grade 10. These relationships flourish with unrealistic expectations as your teenage brains aren't mature enough to even understand what life and love are all about. Although, there are instances where such romances become loving marriages, odds are the two of you will remain friendly aquantainces and have a deep respect for one another. After all, you knew each other when.
2. The "Older Guy"
You WILL get over it. Eventually....
This one is a rough! Mr. Wonderful! He's the man you meet in your early twenties while he is approaching 30. You are swept off your feet by him. Wined, dined, and impressed by his knowledgeable ways and Armani suits. He says all the right things and makes you feel "like a grown woman" for the first time in your life! And handsome...have I mentioned handsome? Well, there are a few things he won't mention to you...Like the fact he is going to break your heart! Its okay girls...you'll get over it. Eventually.
3. The "Might as Well" Guy
"Why am I here?"
4. The "At Least He'll Appreciate Me" Guy
"You'll convince yourself you can be into him....but your efforts will be fruitless."
Ok...this one is a little shameful. This is the guy the 20 year old you would NEVER date! He's funny, he gives you a ton of attention, and courting you most probably began with him STALKING you. He may be the friend who always was interested in you and, although you enjoyed your friendship, would never take it a step further. He's the guy you didn't want to kiss and were surprised you didn't throw up in his mouth when it happened!!! He may be a divorcee' who has convinced you it was all her fault. Anyway ladies...this relationship may last a while because your clock is ticking and you may find yourself thinking "If he isn't the one...than who?"....Trust me...Who...is out there!
5. The "Fun" Guy
Dane Cook
He's the good looking, hard working, probably drinking type who you have a "good time' with after you escape #4. (He may even have been the guy you spoke to on the phone every time you needed someone to make you feel better when you were down). Once again ladies, there are a list of women he "cheers up" and the list keeps on growing. You know he's not the one. And this relationship won't last long enough to do you any damage.
When you least expect it....There he is...standing in front of you with the nothing but the keys to your happiness. <3
The End
